Congratulations to Ms. Audrey Doyle, the 6th year L.C.V.P class, their teacher Ms Ward and the Student Council on their successful organisation of a massive all-school sponsored walk on Tuesday September 30 2008. The aim of the walk was to raise funds to buy equipment for St. Joseph’s College. The walk - aptly called Joey’s Technicolour Walk – was the brainchild of Deputy Principal Ms Doyle. The one and a half hour walk was filled with fun as each year group was decked out in a different colour. Within that colour they thought up some bedazzling outfits, for example, yellow bees, red footballers and black and white life-sized dice! FM104 was there to see them off at the school. There were many prizes on offer, e.g. for best costumes, and for most money raised. The route took in Lucan village and some of the more picturesque parts of Lucan so it was very enjoyable for all concerned. Thanks to all our students, teachers and sponsors for all their help. Particular thanks to Ms. Doyle, the 6th year L.C.V.P class and the Student Council for all their help to make the event so successful. |
