| Year Heads Each Year Head is in charge of a year group. With the help of the class tutors the Year Head develops a special relationship with each student in the year group and makes contact with parents if necessary. Class Tutors Each class has a Class Tutor who ideally remains as Class Tutor with that class from First Year to Sixth Year. The Class Tutor calls the class roll each morning, collects notes, checks Journals and builds up a relationship with each student in the class. If a student goes home during the school day due to illness the Class Tutor takes a note and ensures that there is somebody at home to meet the student. Sixth Year Prefects A Sixth Year prefect (Student Council member) takes special responsibility of each year group. Class Prefects In September each class elects a Class Prefect and Vice Prefect. The Class Prefect wears a 'Prefects' badge and acts as the spokesperson and representative for the class. Some classes hold elections for Class Prefects twice yearly in order to give more students the honour of being Class Prefect and the opportunity of taking on this added responsibility. |
